Last Tuesday, Frédéric Lorenzini, (Morningstar’s Research Director) announced the launch of the first European fund manager of the year’s awards. These are based on the convictions of their team of 25 analysts in Europe and in Asia. These awards aim at recognizing those funds tha,t in addition to their success in 2009, have also been able to show excellent management of investor’s capital over the long term.
In the global equity category, Edouard Carmignac was awarded fund manager of the year.
